DUMET Medical Entrance Exam

Delhi University Pre-Medical Test (DPMT) or University of Delhi Medical/Dental Entrance Test (DUMET) is an all-India entrance test to select students for admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by several medical colleges that are affiliated to the University of Delhi.

Following courses are offered by DUMET at Undergraduate and Post Graduate level for admission to different programs.

5 yrs M.B.B.S. Degree
5 yrs B.D.S Degree

Eligibility for DUMET

The student must meet the following eligibility criteria before submission of his/her application form. The candidates who are not meeting the eligibility criteria are not allowed to take admission in the respective colleges institues under DUMET.

Students must cleared 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and along with English from a recognised institute situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
Candidates must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English seperately and have scored 50% of marks averaged in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Aspirant belongs to category of SC/ST should have scored 40% marks average in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Candidates passed of the qualification exam from a school situated in NCT, Delhi however, is not applicable to female candidates belonging to SC/ST/CWWAPP (Children, Widows & Wives of Armed & Para Military Personnel) category.

EXAM PATTERN - DUMET

The students must follows the following exam pattern to clear DUMET. The candidate should also practice the previous year papers to become familier with exam pattern and time duration.

The DPMT/DUMET test consists of two papers.
Paper I contains two sections of Physics and Chemistry.
Paper II contains two sections of Botany and Zoology.
Each paper is of 2� hours duration containing multiple-choice objective type questions of maximum 600 marks.
