Indian air force recruitment 2012

CASB central airmen selection board invites application for different post fro recruitment in Indian air force. Here we are providing you details about recruitment details, selection procedures, training structure of the organization and other important details.

Selection procedure and eligibility criterion

The selection is conducted through all India selection test. The exam held at allocated centers of air India selection centers. Every year advertisement are published in the employment newspaper fro recruitment in Indian air force. Candidate who apply for the exam have to go through a written exam. In written exam the candidate is tested in the subjects like English, mathematics, physics, general awareness and reasoning. The nature of written exam is objective in nature. Candidates who have passed in written exam have to go through a physical standard test. At the last stage of selection the candidates who have cleared written exam and physical fitness test have to go for interview round. The candidate finally selected in interview round is finally selected. Generally there are three stages of selection –
1) written exam
2) physical standard test
3) Interview round.

Age and educational qualification criterion-

There are separate age and educational requirement for different groups. The age limit is between 17-22 year except the musician traders. Educational qualification fro group “X” is the candidate must be intermediate with a minimum of 50% marks and physics, chemistry as their compulsory subject. For group “Y” candidate the candidate must pass 10+2 with 50% minimum marks.

Other selection requirements-

There are some other medical standard and other selection requirements specified by the organization under its selection procedure. Some minimum standard in height, waist, chest and vision must be there. The candidate must not have any hearing dental and health related problem. Leading Aircraftsman - LAC
Corporal - CPL
Sergeant - SGT
Junior Warrant Officer - JWO
Warrant Officer - WO
Master Warrant Officer – MWO.
